Homework September 25, 2009
READ AR every day...15 minutes is NOT a long time. YOU CAN DO IT!!
Mrs. B -- study notes and READ.
Mrs. Forbes -- 1st period - finish classwork. The problems, if you did not have a chance to copy them from the board, are on the sheet given to you at the end of class. The numbers are 1, 2, 5, 11, 12, and 25. Remember, move the decimal, multiply the decimal by the amount to get the tax or the tip, and add that answer to the original amount for the total.
3rd period - Finish classwork, workbook page 107. Find the percents of a number. Find the difference between the original number the new number and divide the difference by the original number for the decimal form of the percent. Multiply by 100 to make the decimal to a percent.
Science-- finish classwork-draw a cell city as an illustration of the organelles of a cell. You can draw a plant or animal cell (the organelles and shape will let me know which one!), list the organelles on the back of the paper with the corresponding city organization as you have illustrated.
Read over the 3-D cell project parameters. Bring in any questions on Monday.

Mrs. Forbes -- math--find three solids in your house and record their measurements (for a box or refrigerator measure the length, width, and height) and find three 2 dimensional figures and record their measurements (triangle, circle, hexagon....). You received a worksheet that has boxes to fill in for each item. Only the measurements will be checked for homework tomorrow. If you want to calculate the surface area and volume (solids) or area and perimeter (2-D), then feel free to do so (one less thing to do for tomorrow's homework!).

Welcome back to school! Please update your agenda with homework assignments and projects each day! Beginning Monday, September 14, this blog will be updated daily and homework assigned for the day will be available to view by 4pm. Even when there is "no" homework assigned for any particular day, you are EXPECTED to review your notes and study each night. The AR program is in full swing, so reading every night is a standing homework assignment!
